God wants us to care for others. There are diverse ways to do this, but one of the most powerful ways to show that you care about someone is by preparing a meal for them. No matter what it is, it shows that you spend time to care for them. It shows that you give the effort to make sure that they are sustained. When preparing a meal for others, you are doing the work of God, for you are working to take care of their needs.
When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house, “Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon” (Genesis 43:16 NIV).
Lord thank you for those who have prepared meals for me. Give me the grace to be able to take care of others according to your will.
