It is interesting that if you ask a question such as, who would like to be blessed, most likely everyone present would respond or raise their hands that they want to be blessed. Well, why is it that we, human beings, like to bypass the process to arrive at the result? Although I cannot say that it is impossible to elude some process. I want to say that even if you can escape some process, you need divine wisdom. Yes, wisdom to bypass such processes. Not every time you want to do something you would have to start from scratch. Hence, the reason why Godly books, articles are written, and godly movies are produced. Some Godly people have gone through what you are about to go through. You read their books, articles, listen to their songs, messages, or watch their movies then you learn from them. In doing so, you may be able to bypass certain things in life.

Sometimes, it is not always the case as God made each of us unique, and therefore, we are likely not going to have the same experience when it comes to you and your journey in life with God. Nonetheless, it is essential to apply wisdom, for wisdom is the principal thing, Proverbs 4:7. If you want to enjoy the blessings of Abraham, then you must be able to do what Abraham did – Can you sacrifice your Isaac? Genesis 22. Here, we see Abraham’s faith confirmed. There are people whom their family cannot attest to their faith, how much more God. The blessings are hidden, and you must do everything possible not to enjoy the blessings. Are you ready to do the needful?

Obedience precedes blessings and demands actions Deuteronomy 28. You can read the word of God (the bible) all you want to and may listen to it all you want, but until you practice what the word says, you are still not a candidate for the blessing. The blessings are hidden. They are for those who live the word. However, “…faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…” (Romans 10:17), to enjoy the blessings that come with the word of God, you need to act without hesitation as the blessings are hidden in obedience.

Hearing the word of God without practice is not and should not be what you desire. If you want to enjoy the blessings that come from the Lord, you must be ready to do as He says. Your obedience to God is far better than your positions, accomplishments, accolades, and whatever you may become. Luke 11:27-28, “And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You “… He said, more than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.” To keep the word of God is to practice it, act on it, and live it out. The word of God is for transformation and not just for information. If the word of God does not impact your life, nothing else can impact your life. You and I must make a conscious effort today to not only hear or read the word of God but to abide by it. Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” It is important to keep in mind “observe to do according to [ALL] that is written in the word [the bible]” Finally, remember you cannot jump the process and think you will enjoy the blessings because the blessings are hidden, in obedience.
