In developed and developing countries around the world, technological infrastructure; and its development has made it possible for those who reside in such countries to have easy access to the Global Positioning System (GPS). Of course, the current GPS is not the first to provide direction and location but knowing what we know and its availability in this generation, one would agree with its effectiveness and usefulness. Thus, making traveling from one place to another become essay and sometimes worthwhile but keep in mind that the efficiency of the GPS is not without errors because it is not a hundred percent perfect system. Yet, there are benefits to the economy. Whether government or private sector, which ultimately benefits the citizens and the residents of the nation. Today I would like to introduce you to the one without error!
If you claim to know the way to your destination while traveling and you run into traffic without knowing the alternative route, you are likely to use the GPS since it is a system built to see things you cannot see while at the traffic location. Today I want to introduce you to someone who know your end from the beginning. In some cases, where there are alternative ways, and you do not know, the GPS becomes what you rely on to guide you to your destination. If you failed to follow the direction of the GPS, and you do not know the way that could take you to your destination, well, the outcome is that you would get lost. Today I want to introduce you to the one that would not allow you to get lost!
Such is the journey of life. Many times, you have plans on how you would travel the journey of life, especially once you start to grow and make decisions for your life. Many of us have goals we would like to accomplish in life at a certain age. We have plans, and in many cases, we have them written down, and some people are committed to the blueprints by using them as a life roadmap (GPS). Many of these blueprints become fulfilled, yet some are not. I am sure that a good percentage of people who have some of their goals and plans unfulfilled do sit-down, think, and re-strategize, especially if the unfulfilled blueprints are critical. Hence, this shows we exert a good amount of energy trying daily to ensure our goals and plans do not go unfulfilled.
I have said this to tell you that the journey of life cannot and should not be traveled alone. Hence, you cannot travel, the journey to eternity alone. You need a guide; You need a helper, and you need a manual. You need “The Way,” you need Jesus. If you know the way – Jesus, you know the truth, and if you know the truth, you know, the life because you can only approach the Father (God) through the Son (Jesus). In response to Thomas’ question in John 14:5, “…Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” in verse 6 Jesus responded, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through Me.”
Do you ever wonder why few numbers of people travel this way? Do you know this way does not come cheap? Or maybe you do not realize the price to travel this way was paid at Calvary? The good news is that, while it was the most EXPENSIVE price ever paid in human history (Jesus died for the sin of the world), it remains the cheapest to attain! Thus, the only true, and “FREE” no price tag you would ever get in your lifetime. The requirement, however, is for you to “…confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation…whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” (Roman 10:9-11).
In Jesus Chris, there is life. In Him, there is eternity. Watchman Nee, says “Christ is the way in searching the scripture. Christ is the way for one’s life – in every stage of his life. Christ is the way of living: living daily according to the Lord’s nature within” (P. 19). Finally, friends, brothers and sisters, fathers, and mothers, I encourage you today to make Jesus your way. He is not just pointing you the way. He is the way and will travel the journey with you. If you accept Him and allow Him to rule your life, you will not regret it. If you make Him the center of your life, you will no longer be confused. Accept Him today, and you will be glad you did, for in Him there is Joy because He is the embodiment of Joy. Hence, The Way – The Only Key for Access.
