There is no doubt that the Word works, nor am I confused that there is power in the Word. However, I am not sure if this applies to you as you read/listen to this. It is impossible for the Word you don’t believe to work for you. Many people shortchange themselves today by living below the plan of God for their life simply because they fail to realize what God has for them. Yes, the Word works! As simple as it sounds daily, purposes are not fulfilled, and destinies are cut short because of unbelief. As you read/listen today, what is it that is holding you back from the purpose of God for your life? What causes unbelieve in your life? And why don’t you believe the Word?

As much as your words matter and they are important as they could make a lasting impact on your life, however, I am not referring to the words of your mouth! Today, I want you to know that the Word works. I mean the Word of God. Sometimes people quote the Word of God without paying attention to what they say, or they quote it to fit their situations. Well, next time you are quoting the Word of God pay attention to it.

In any circumstances, you may find yourself known that the Word works, but you must first believe, and the Word would influence your life because of your belief. I want you to know that the Word exists from the beginning as stated in John 1:1. Hence, the manifestation of the Word gives hope, comfort, joy, but most importantly it guarantees eternity for those who believe.

The Word works – the following are some of the things the Word can do. While there are numerous things the Word can do, I will only mention three things today. The Word saves: the coming of the Word to the world has granted us the saving grace. You can only be saved through the Word; there is no other means nor shortcut by which you can be saved except in the Word [Jesus]. This would come through hearing and by hearing the word of God. You can only be saved by the incorruptible, through the word of God which is everlasting [Romans 10:17;  1 Peter 1:23].

God’s Word warns and rewards you: When you follow God’s Word accordingly, you would enjoy the Spirit of discernment thereby giving you insight into things to come. Also, if you go off the track in your journey with God, you can enjoy His warning to bring you back to His way. Likewise, when you are in obedience and follow His precepts, you enjoy the reward that comes with such obedience [Psalm 19:11]. Protection: This is another work of God’s Word. If you want to be protected, follow the Word. In Him, protection is sure for you, but you must ensure you do not depart from the Word [Psalm 119:11]. Always remember, the Word saves; God’s Word warns and rewards us, and the Word protects you.
